Fox River Tire & Auto is a family owned and operated company, serving the Fox Valley since 1955. Because our community matters and our customers deserve the best, we are looking to add an outstanding, trained Lead Automotive Technician to our team.
Responsibilities Include:
• Diagnose and repair car engine systems
• Use of diagnostic tools and computer hardware and software
• Ability to lead and train technicians
• Oil changes, wheel balancing, and tire rotation
• Diagnose electrical problems that require electrical knowledge
• Diagnose engine problems and repair or replace faulty parts
• Assist other Techs in diagnosis and repair
• Wide range of knowledge repairing all makes and models of vehicles
• Diagnostics includes performing testing procedures to discover the cause (and repairs needed) to correct a client’s concern.
• Ability to read and interpret service data including wiring diagrams
• Understanding of complex vehicle systems such as brakes, suspension, HVAC, electrical, emissions, engine performance, etc.
• Performing mechanical repairs and services on passenger automobiles including removing and reinstalling of parts, and performing service procedures
• Performing a thorough inspection/evaluation of a client vehicle to determine needed repairs, preventive maintenance and addressing all client concerns
• Possess a collection of tools needed to perform their job duties
• Continued growth and training needed to continue developing with the industry

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour (includes overtime and bonuses)
Requirements: 7+ years experience and ASE certifications
